As an experienced Occupational Medical Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing various medical services and support to site-based employees under occupational health and safety regulations and mining industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-employment medical inductions and examinations for new employees
  • Provide medical treatment and care for employees who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses
  • Develop and implement health promotion programs to improve the overall well-being of our workforce
  • Advise on workplace health and safety issues and recommend measures to prevent injuries and illnesses
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all employees
  • Conduct periodic medical examinations for all employees in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Coordinate with external medical providers and specialists as needed
  • Participate in emergency response drills and help develop emergency medical procedures
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements in occupational health and safety
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medicine / Surgery
  • Relevant Occupational Health and Medicine qualification
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years working experience as an Occupational Medical Practitioner in a mining or similar industrial sector
  • Able to work well in a highly pressurised environment and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Excellent local occupational health and safety regulations knowledge
