The core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Perform fault diagnostics and error analysis.

Install and commission company products.

Repair, remove, inspect, and service company products.

Ensure that the equipment is in good working order and condition.

Ensure that the equipment is maintained and repaired/installed in accordance with the OEM requirements and specifications.

Compile a schedule for preventative maintenance on the fixed fuel management system, which will be distributed to all relevant customer parties.

Assist with mini projects run in maintenance.

Support and assist the Database Specialist with investigations and solutions as necessary.

Perform administrative tasks such as keeping records of all newly installed equipment, maintaining vehicle log books, maintaining technician onsite reports (TOS) up to date, ensuring that job cards are completed in a timely and accurate manner, and handed in for invoicing.

Keep track of stock and perform regular stock counts.

Assist customers with technical advice on products.

Be responsible for informing the customer representative of any equipment that has become obsolete or is beyond economical repair.

Support the marketing efforts of products to customers.

Act as Site Manager.

Comply with all the customer’s rules, regulations, and policies such as health, safety, quality, and environment, and adhere to all safe working procedures.

Ensure that all medical fitness and induction documents as required by the customer, including the Contractor’s Pack, are up to date, and make the necessary appointments and arrangements when they come up for renewal.

Report on a daily basis to the appointed customer representative before commencing his/her daily work responsibilities.

Attend weekly/monthly safety meetings as required by the mine.

Possess technician-level knowledge of the product offering.

Exhibit strong work ethics.

Demonstrate the ability to interact with customers at all levels of the organization.

Good command of the English language; Afrikaans an advantage.

Formal Training Required:
Electrical trade test is required.

Have electro-mechanical or instrumentation experience.

Possess a Code 8 driver's license.

Any Special Competencies Required:
  • Demonstrate the ability to compile professional reports for the benefit of customers.
  • Good health – Regular medicals conducted by our customers are a prerequisite for work to commence.

Hours and Conditions of Work:
Be required to work during mine operating hours, 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday.

You will be required to work shifts and on weekends.
