QC Laboratory Analyst

Job Description

• To analyse raw material, in-process samples and final product.
• To perform calibration duties of laboratory equipment.
• To carry out Ad-Hoc duties as and when necessary.

Required outputs: functional

• Perform analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, final product and effluent samples.
• Ensure timeous and effective communication of results with internal customers and all stakeholders.
• Perform instrument calibrations and troubleshoot on instruments when analytical problems are experienced.
• Assist with the investigations of non-conformances.
• Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the management system.
• Required to work shifts to support 24/7 laboratory operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric /Grade 12
• National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry minimum
• Sound analytical chemistry knowledge
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a laboratory environment
• Must be computer literate MS Office (Word/Excel and Outlook)
