Role
The main purpose of this role is to ensure that all releases received are processed as per company procedure.
Responsibilities :
Ensure that all releases received via MYCS processed
Standard procedures to be completed for all import and export releases
Delivery order to be produced from LARA
Navis to be completed for all import releases
Ensure all release documents have the correct documentation attached
Ensure that no export bills are released without payment and correct documentation
All release documents must be approved by the cashier who will update the payment field in LARA
Ensure filing is up to date, up to 3 months kept on site balance with Metrofile
Ensure all acquittals are processed within 30 days of vessel completion
Collect original OBLS and collaborate with Durban’s centralized customer service team in case of any action required from them – i.e. telex release, switch bills etc.
Functionality reports to Centralized Service Delivery Supervisor (Imports)
Arrange overstay for uncleared units to nominated depot within free terminal storage period
Compile weekly OPEX + overstay reports for management reporting
Skills and Qualifications:
Grade 12 qualification
+2 years shipping line experience
Diploma / Degree - with shipping maritime focus will be an added advantage
Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Good communication skills
