ROLE: Senior Strategic Copywriter

LOCATION: South Africa (Remote)

About the role:

We are on the lookout for a Senior Copywriter with a flare for Strategy, who is passionate about creating and crafting copy for an assortment of brands and channels. Pushing the copy and ideas to make our work sing and stand out from the noise.

You will be considering a campaign TTL approach, creating copy and developing ideas across social, print, email, and everything in-between. Although you will need to be experienced across various forms of copywriting, a solid understanding around social is necessary.

What you will be doing:

  • Create creative ideas and copy across various advertising and marketing formats. Our main disciplines are social & email, but each day can bring a new format, so you must be comfortable writing for various media.
  • Lead and push our creative copywriting output across all briefs big or small.
  • Drive strategic ideation throughout the campaign work
  • Line manages and mentor the creative copywriting team.
  • Brainstorm visual and copy ideas within the creative team.
  • Work closely with the team to deliver all copy and ensure consistency and accuracy across all brands you touch.
  • Previous advertising agency experience necessary.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Ability to create original, impactful, and engaging ideas & copy across social, digital and print campaigns.
  • Loves the craft of writing across all media, leading strategic initiatives, with a built-in understanding of how to adapt your writing style to the different creative outputs.
  • Have a genuine love for creating ideas and pushing those ideas whenever the opportunity arises.
  • An excellent team player: collaborative and adept at building relationships with everyone both internal and external.
  • The ability to write on-brand B2C and B2B creative copy that delivers a consistent tone of voice
  • Be self-motivated, proactive and collaborative, with a can-do attitude
  • 8+ years of experience within creative teams and departments
