Sun World International is looking for a human resources or organizational psychology graduate to provide administrative support to the Sun World International Human Resources Team.

Whilst the role will predominantly be administrative, the human resources intern will be exposed to various pillars of Human Resources, including, but not limited to people strategy, change management, HRIS and people infrastructure building, onboarding, recruitment, performance management, finance and budgeting, learning and development, employee relations, administration as well as people data and reporting.

This opportunity will serve as a great foundation for an enthusiastic graduate who would like to get broad exposure to human resources in the interest of kickstarting a career as an HR generalist or simply to figure out which components of Human Resources they are passionate about.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • People query resolution within Service-Level Agreement (SLA) constraints
  • Personnel Administration: New hires, status changes and separations
  • Provide administrative support for recruitment processes, new hires and onboarding
  • Provide administrative support for learning & development initiatives and strategies
  • People data, reporting and analytics
  • HRIS- Paylocity & Paymaster
  • People Master data management
  • Assist with HR Infrastructure building and testing
  • Assist with HR policy building an implementation
  • Support annual People calendar activities such as remuneration reviews, OPR, etc
  • Update and maintain various monthly people data and trackers
  • Office event organization
  • Employee wellness and engagement events
  • Other ad-hoc assignments

Requirements

  • A degree in Human Resources Management or Organizational Psychology or related field.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work effectively alone and in teams.
  • Willingness to learn
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 apps (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint etc.)
  • Fluency in English
  • Afrikaans (advantageous but not necessary)
  • Must be a South African citizen
