Job Summary

Drive, oversee and execute complex projects and initiatives that drive strategic goals, enhance operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance within the business.

To develop tactical strategy and delivery plans, formulate associated practice/s and to ensure operational implementation and adaption i.t.o. project management methodology, governance and delivery objectives.

Job Description

Programme Leadership: Lead end-to-end execution of critical programme and projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategies. Develop and maintain a comprehensive programme plan, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, risk management, and budget oversight. Establish clear success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure programme and projects outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, analysts, technologists, legal, and compliance, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.

Resource Management: Manage project resources, including both internal and external team members, to ensure tasks are executed efficiently and within established timelines. Coordinate with resource managers to allocate resources based on project priorities.

Reporting and Documentation: Create and deliver regular project status reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and upcoming milestones to leadership and stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, requirements, meeting minutes, and post-project evaluations.

Education And Experience Required

  • Bachelor degree (NQF 7) in project management or commerce.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in implementing and working on complex projects
  • Appropriate professional accreditation in programme and or project management (Agile, prince2, PMBOK)
  • Solid direct knowledge of project and programme management methodologies.
  • Programme management experience gained in a complex financial service environment
  • Must have experience in delivering Credit Risk programmes

Knowledge and skills:

  • Proven project management and change management skills and expertise
  • Experience of managing activity across the whole of a project lifecycle, using current technology, structured methods and a quality process (e.g. PMP method, Prince2, etc.)
  • Exposure to governance, control and risk management
  • Proven ability to effectively work with teams at all levels
  • Ability to negotiate influence at senior level
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good financial business case skills.

Education

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
