Job Description
- To ensure that all business-related parcels delivered to 1 Mostert Street are accurately received and distributed to various departments (e.g.: Sourcing, etc.) within the building.
- To control all the truck and vehicle deliveries in the receiving bay.
- Ensure all goods and equipment received is documented and delivered to the correct departments.
- Ensure that items delivered for 75 on Plein are correctly delivered to 75 on Plein from 1 Mostert.
- Assist in the ground floor Mailing Room on an as required basis.
Key Responsibilities
1. PARCEL DELIVERY CONTROL: a) Ensure accurate control of all parcels received. b) Ensure daily distribution of parcels to all departments timeously. c) Ensure accurate record keeping of parcels and equipment received. d) Ensure that the relevant parcels for 75 on Plein are correctly received, kept record of and moved to 75 on Plein. 2. WASTE MANAGEMENT: a) Manage placement, emptying, etc. of all confidential bins on the floors. b) Ensure the recycling company maintains good housekeeping for both H/O buildings. c) Ensure daily recycling and waste collections are well managed and good housekeeping is implemented. 3. SAFETY AND SECURITY: a) Ensure all suppliers, contractors and courier staff sign in. b) Ensure all contractors that work on site have signed the necessary safety documents. c) Ensure access via the receiving area is well managed & controlled. 4. ADMINISTRATION: a) Ensure all photocopy machines on all floors are adequately stocked with paper for both H/O buildings. b) Assist the facilities department with any ad hoc duties – these ad hoc duties have increased due to the Mailing Room Clerk position not having being replaced. 5. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: a) Ensure all charity boxes are collected from all departments and processed for charity collections (receiving clerk works closely with HR). b) Monthly recording & reporting of water readings. c) Maintain good housekeeping of the receiving areaQualifications and Experience
Qualification/s: Matric Experience / Knowledge: • Good computer skills • Good knowledge of Excel and WordCompetencies
Essential Competencies: • Has worked in a similar position before (1 to 2 years) • Ability to draft and maintain registers • Has worked with courier companies and has a good knowledge of the processes involved.
