The Role
We are looking for an experienced, innovative, and inspirational Lead Key Account Manager to lead, grow and develop our relationship with Service Providers based in Johannesburg. This Account Manager will lead all aspects of the evolution of the accounts across the territories and be responsible for tens of millions of dollars in annual revenue transactions across all Juniper infrastructure solutions for with these customers, working closely and having existing contacts with top executives in the accounts, in SSA. The successful candidate will have a proven track record working with Service Providers and be able to effectively connect with key stakeholders, executing multiple priorities simultaneously.
The role must be located in Johannesburg and will report to our Sales Director of Tier 1 Service Provider accounts across META
What you will do
- Sell Juniper products and solutions to, through and with these key accounts. This will involve close interworking with both the client and Juniper direct touch sales channels, and the wider account team across EMEA.
- Position end-to-end solutions and articulate Juniper strategies to senior management in the account.
- Educate client sales teams about relevant Juniper solutions and selling them the benefits of the Juniper partnership,
- Develop sales strategies for target markets including account targeting, goal setting, messaging, marketing programs etc.
- Forecasting, lead and opportunity management and reporting.
- Engage with all customer functions involved in or influencing Juniper business developments (Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Services etc.), up to Senior Executive level
The experience we would like you to have
- Broad-based technological awareness, complemented by knowledge of networking solutions, routing, switching and security concepts/products within the networking arena.
- Experience working with a mobile/fixed service providers; either as an employee or a vendor partner would be preferable.
- A proven track record of success (7+ years) selling to and through large, complex, service providers.
- 7+ years’ experience developing sales strategies, preparing proposals, and presenting networking, security, or related high-tech solutions.
- Demonstrable strong communication, presentation, negotiation and closing skills and using a win/win philosophy.
- The ability to articulate success record and define how a vendor can make a difference.
- Relationship management skills that translate into identifying decision-makers and influencers.
- Must have the ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated and a strong team player.
- Fluent English as well as local language (ideally native level)
