PURPOSE OF ROLE
To drive the strategic project development, new business opportunities and enquiry responses (proposals) for the Nuclear Division. This role involves engaging with clients on both technical and commercial levels to understand their needs and develop comprehensive solutions, supported by the nuclear engineering team. The successful candidate will convert leads from the Business Development team and other Nuclear Division stakeholders into profit-generating business opportunities.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Strategic Development & Business Growth
- Compile and manage the Nuclear Division's project development records
- Compile and maintain the Division's business development pipeline list
- Drive the process of tenders and proposals within the Nuclear Division
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Monitor and ensure effective responses to market enquiries and tenders
Leadership & Management
- Participate as part of the Nuclear Division's management team
- Work collaboratively with management team to develop and drive the Division's strategy
- Attend Management Committee (Manco) meetings
- Manage the Division's proposals development process
- Lead and drive responses to opportunities, enquiries and tenders
Stakeholder Management & Networking
- Maintain relationships with existing Technology Partners and seek new collaboration opportunities
- Build and maintain B2B relationships and networking
- Attend industry forums and conferences to broaden the organization's network in nuclear sectors
- Engage in positioning activities for the organization through differentiation strategies
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Review all proposals and submissions for technical and commercial completeness
- Ensure high quality, competitive and prudent submissions
- Pursue continuous improvement in processes, methodologies, and skills
- Support execution of operational activities as part of the team
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.Eng) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Engineering or equivalent
- Management, business or leadership qualifications (advantageous)
EXPERIENCE
- 15+ years of engineering design, project management, project development and/or business development experience within the Nuclear industry
- A healthy combination of the above experience areas is ideal
- Demonstrated experience throughout the entire project life cycle
