The Technology Innovation Manager at MTN would be responsible for overseeing the design, operation, and strategic direction of the innovation lab. This role ensures that new technologies, products, and solutions are effectively tested, validated, and integrated into MTN’s ecosystem. The resource will be required to perform Lab tours to senior internal and external parties showcasing the innovative technologies that MTN are investigating or has implemented within our markets.
Context
As MTN continues to advance its strategy and drive innovation in network transformation, AI, and cloud-native technologies, the need for a dedicated Technology Innovation Manager has become critical.
This role will ensure that MTN’s innovation lab operates efficiently, enabling the testing, validation, and deployment of next-generation solutions. Additionally, having a dedicated in-house resource will enhance control, agility, and alignment with business objectives while reducing reliance on external vendors.
- The global shift towards 5G, Open RAN, and cloud-native architectures requires robust testing and validation to ensure seamless integration and performance.
- AI-driven network optimization, predictive maintenance, and self-healing capabilities are becoming industry standards.

- MTN’s enterprise customers and digital service providers demand customized, reliable, and innovative connectivity solutions. The need for faster time-to-market for new services requires in-house capabilities to validate and refine solutions rapidly
