Why do we need you?
  • Take lead of all responsible sourcing topics including ensuring all suppliers charters are signed, suppliers participate in Ecovadis and purchasers complete mandatory training.
  • Work with the internal audit function to identify process gaps and develop and implement processes to mitigate potential compliance risks
  • To maximise the Enterprise and Supplier Development BEE scores along with the Preferential Procurement score to meet the company’s BEE compliance target.
  • To maintain the CO2 dashboard for the region and to track and report on CO2 initiatives
  • Deliver successful projects where nominated as the project leader or project member.
  • Support Saint-Gobain’s common goals and vision by working with local and global team members, cross functional teams, other departments and functions to deliver on commitments.
  • Adhere to all Saint-Gobain’s policies and procedures and proactively educate the business on purchasing procedures and systems.
  • Log and resolve claims logged against suppliers.
  • All such duties and/or activities assigned by management/board as and when required

Is this job for you?


This role requires an individual with Tertiary degree or Diploma in Supply chain or Finance. Min 3 – 5years in a procurement or finance related role and experience in internal auditing will be an added advantage, you need to have been working in a manufacturing environment to be best suiter for the role.

The ideal candidate must be a system driven with strong negotiation and persuasion skills. Ability to communicate with different stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate must have strong administrative /reporting skills.

The position manages all ICRF actions, executes on all BEE requirements related to preferential procurement and enterprise and supplier development. The role also maintains all responsible sourcing Criteria and maintains the company’s CO2 dashboard.
