Strategic Brand Leadership:
Develop and execute strategic brand plans across the hybrid therapeutics portfolio, considering local market trends and competitive intelligence.
Identify growth opportunities in both Rx and OTC channels, ensuring regulatory compliance and market differentiation.
Campaign & Content Development:
Design multi-channel campaigns (digital, in-practice, pharmacy-driven, and B2B), tailored to HCPs, pharmacists, and consumers.
Collaborate with agencies and internal teams to develop marketing materials (e.g., e-detailers, product brochures, social media content, and patient education tools).
Market Access & Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with sales teams and private sector clients to support contract bids and product uptake.
Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), private healthcare professionals, and retail chain decision-makers.
Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring:
Conduct regular market analysis, sales tracking, and competitor monitoring to guide strategy adjustments.
Present ROI-driven reports and insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Product Lifecycle Management:
Lead product launches, relaunches, and transitions (e.g., from Rx to OTC), ensuring alignment with local regulatory requirements and strategic objectives.
Coordinate with supply chain, regulatory, and medical to maintain product availability and compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field (MBA or postgraduate marketing qualification advantageous)
3–6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing or brand management in South Africa
Prior experience with hybrid portfolios (Rx + OTC), state and private markets, and/or government tenders is highly desirable
Knowledge of SAHPRA, SAPC, and South African healthcare system requirements
Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and Microsoft Office; digital marketing experience is a strong plus
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel when required
Competencies:
Strong business acumen and understanding of pharmaceutical commercial dynamics
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
High level of initiative, adaptability, and cross-functional leadership
