Role Summary

The Media Executive will support the Planning Account Director in the strategic planning and execution of media campaigns. While the Planning Account Director holds overall accountability for all plans, you will work closely with them to assist in the development and implementation of both smaller and larger integrated campaigns. You will take on responsibilities such as managing specific aspects of the planning and buying process, liaising directly with clients, and ensuring that campaigns align with broader strategic goals.

Additionally, you will support the Planning Account Director in executing broadcast activities within your client portfolio, coordinating with clients and partners to ensure all elements are in place for successful campaign delivery and that campaigns go live on time. High standards of delivery and efficient execution will be essential in your role.

You will also assist with account administration as required, including supporting the Planning Account Director with client communication, financial processes, and maintaining presentation decks to a high organisational standard.

Key Tasks

  • Support the Planning Account Director in media planning and buying for smaller campaigns.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of integrated media plans for larger clients, ensuring alignment with broader strategic goals.
  • Execute approved media plans, including purchasing media placements and coordinating with vendors, under the direction of the Planning Account Director.
  • Liaise directly with clients to gather requirements, provide campaign updates, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and delivery of broadcast media assets to ensure on-time campaign launches.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Strategist to ensure that all digital campaign elements are effectively integrated.
  • Prepare and present reports on broadcast campaign performance to clients.
  • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks related to media execution, such as invoice processing and budget tracking.
  • Support the Planning Account Director with client communications, financial processes, and ensuring decks and presentations are kept organised and up-to-date.
  • Provide support with meeting minutes, assisting in the creation of clear, concise documentation, and ensuring that action points are well-organised for the Client, Planning Account Director and Digital Strategist.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you will be liaising directly with clients, vendors, and internal teams. The ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively is crucial.
  • Team Collaboration: A team player who can work collaboratively across different teams and departments. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Numerical Skills: Strong numerical skills are essential for accurate budget management, media buying calculations, and performance analysis. You should be comfortable working with numbers and able to interpret data effectively.
