Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen – Q PRO-specific
- Implement new innovative and creative ideas (on meals and functions)
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the correct recipe and the correct quantity.
- Ensure that all dishes reach the hot plate correctly garnished in the correct portion and size, presented on the prescribed serving dish in the prescribed manner
- Oversee and monitor the quality of food and presentation thereof
- Manage & train staff
- Quality & quantity controls on all food products.
- Keeping updated on market trends and reacting to these effectively and efficiently
- Responsible for food budgets and to achieve their requirements
- Ability to produce a high volume of work on time that is accurate, complete, and of a high quality
- Guarantee that all communications between service areas and the kitchen run smoothly

- 2-4 years of relevant experience is essential
- Diploma in Professional Cookery/ Relevant qualification
- A minimum of 2 years of Professional culinary skills or experience within a similar environment will be essential.

- Ala’Carte as well as banqueting experience
- Computer literate
