Job Description
To lead the establishment of an enterprise-wide, cross payment rail capability, as a world class service provider to First Rand.
To define and drive business value creation though the delivery of capability sets needed for cross rail that can be used to commercialise business use cases

- Enable the defined cross rail strategy with specific capabilities needed across the consumption segments and use cases.
- Establishment, alignment and management of target and budget goals whilst ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency.
- Initiate and manage market research, data mining and quantitative analysis to ensure sustainability and future competitive growth.
- Explore local and international markets for new products and trademarks in order to expand and strengthen the business' market position.
- Facilitate the conversion of knowledge and ideas into new or improved products, processes and services
- Strategically influence organisational wide development, implementation and adherence to triple bottom line corporate governance and king principles
- Strategically influence the development and implementation of effective corporate governance in relation to external socio-economic requirements
- Strategically influence the implementation of effective costing, pricing, profitability and stakeholder management across a business or functional value chain.
- Define organisational budgetary structures and financial strategies aimed at driving stakeholder value and creating the context for future success
- Provide a single- entry point for customers to onboard across all services.
Enable customers to selectively activate or deactivate services during onboarding.
- Support multiple payment rails (e.g., high-value, FX, card, EFT, cash).
- Enable smart orchestration to determine the optimal rail based on customer criteria (e.g., destination, value).
- Provide a single reconciliation solution across all payment types.
- Support both file-based and direct ERP integration (e.g., SAP).
- Build a layered architecture that orchestrates and integrates existing services.
- Avoid rebuilding existing systems; instead, leverage orchestration and abstraction layers.
- Implement intelligent routing logic to determine the best rail or channel for a transaction.
- Minimize customer input by inferring optimal paths based on minimal criteria
- Extend services beyond payments into adjacent ecosystems:
- Invoicing (presentment + payment)
- E-commerce platforms
- Online marketplaces
- Seek individuals who understand payments and collections across multiple rails.
- Require ability to collaborate across silos and translate customer needs into strategy.
- Design unified payment experiences across different payment methods (e.g., card, eBucks, request-to-pay).
- Benchmark against best-in-class experiences (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay).
