Project Management
Plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical installation projects from initiation to handover.
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and risk registers.
Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
Technical Delivery
Create and interpret electrical schematics, layouts, and installation plans.
Ensure compliance with IEC/SANS standards, electrical best practices, and safety regulations.
Lead installation work, panel building and conduct quality inspections.
Coordinate with design and engineering teams for technical inputs, revisions and re-lining.
Team Leadership
Lead site-based teams including electricians, contractors, and technicians.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
Support recruitment and training of project team members as needed.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
Manage expectations, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with deliverables.
Collaborate with internal departments (procurement, HSE, QA/QC, engineering).
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain project documentation including work packs, engineering change requests, commissioning reports, and as-built drawings.
Ensure all handover documentation is completed and delivered to clients.
Degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial electrical installation or automation projects. Preferably in the Food & Bev or Automotive sectors.
Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary installation projects in industrial environments (e.g., manufacturing, processing, utilities).
Strong understanding of electrical installation practices, control systems, and automation panels.
Between 5 - 7 Years
