Change Process Ownership:
Own the change process for applications
Change Management Activities:
Creation, documentation, and updating of changes, including:
Approval and alignment:
Plan and schedule changes, ensuring alignment.
Send out meeting invites and confirmations after successful changes.
Document changes' quality using existing checklists.
Participate in the Change Advisory Board (CAB)
Release Documentation:
Create release notes for releases, summarising all changes (minor and major).
Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate between Release Managers and plants to continuously improve the release process.
Communication:
Communicate with plants regarding:
Confirmation of successful execution of changes.
Status of resolutions of incidents from the previous week as part of “weekly plant communication,” supported by an IT tool to inform plants when incidents are resolved.
Release Planning:
Develop and maintain a release schedule that aligns with project timelines and business objectives.
Collaborate with project managers, development teams, and stakeholders to define release scope and objectives.
Act as the primary point of contact for all release-related activities.
Facilitate communication between development, QA, and operations teams to ensure alignment and readiness for releases.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on release progress and any potential risks.
Ensure that all releases meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
Coordinate testing efforts and manage defect resolution processes prior to release.
Deployment Management:
Oversee the deployment of releases to various environments, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Develop and maintain deployment procedures and documentation.
Post Release Activities:
Conduct post-release reviews to assess the success of releases and identify areas for improvement.
Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to inform future releases.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management processes.
Excellent organisational and project management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Release Management tools (such as Jenkins, Git, etc.).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (such as JIRA, Confluence).
