Marsh is seeking a seasoned Risk Engineer to join its Engineering Consultancy Team, supporting the Energy & Power sector across the IMEA region. This role focuses on delivering independent, high-impact consultancy services that help clients enhance their process safety, asset integrity, operational reliability, emergency readiness, and risk governance.
The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise built over at least 10 years with major international energy or industrial organizations, offering strategic and field-based support to improve client risk quality and operational excellence.

We will count on you to:
Deliver technical consulting services across the following areas:
- Process Safety Management, including:
- PHA, MoC, PSSR, Mechanical Integrity, Operating Procedures, Compliance Audits
- Process Safety Culture assessment using established behavioral models
- Asset Integrity & Reliability, including:
- RBI, CMMS effectiveness, inspection strategies, critical equipment reviews
- Turnaround consulting, including planning, execution readiness, and post-event reviews
- Emergency Response & Crisis Management, including:
- Fire protection system assessments, ER plans, firewater demand validation, tabletop exercises
- Operational Risk and Excellence, with a focus on:
- Management systems (e.g., PTW, LOTO, Confined Space, Shift Handover)
- Digitalization of OE systems (e.g., electronic PTW, IOW monitoring, Operator Rounds, control of change platforms)
- Emerging Risks, such as hydrogen, carbon capture, decarbonization, and ESG-aligned engineering risk models
- Conduct field assessments, data analysis, and interviews to identify gaps and recommend actionable improvements
- Provide risk benchmarking and engineering reports using Marsh proprietary risk tools
- Build strong engagement with client teams across operations, maintenance, engineering, and HSE
- Support the development of new methodologies, insights, and tools to enhance Marsh’s consulting offering
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams for complex, regional, or global client programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
- Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CFSE, CMRP, NEBOSH, API, PMP)
- Familiarity with risk and reliability software (e.g., DNV PHAST, ExTool, BowtieXP, RBI tools, APM platforms)
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in global energy, power, or industrial organizations
- Deep technical knowledge in at least two of the following:
- Process Safety (including process safety culture)
- Asset Integrity & Reliability (including Turnaround consultancy)
- Emergency Response / Fire Risk Management
- Operational Risk and OE Programs (with understanding of digital transformation)
- Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to interface across all organizational levels
- Familiarity with risk frameworks (e.g., OSHA, API, CCPS, NFPA)
- Willing and able to travel extensively – approximately 70 to 90 days per year across the IMEA region and beyond, to support global clients as needed
- Fluent in English; other regional languages are a plus
