At Novus Print, we value the expertise and dedication of our team members. We are currently seeking an Assistant Stock Accountant to join our dynamic team. The position reports directly to the Senior Stock Accountant.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Place local and imported paper orders and coordinate all communication of shipments from origin to final destination.
- Clear imported shipments.
- Verify all paper receipts and process accurately in financial systems on a daily basis.
- Inter-Company transactions.
- Ensure satisfaction to internal and external customers/suppliers through the offering of quality services.
- Daily/Month-end/Ad-hoc reporting/procedures.
- Electronically file and keep records of all processed transactions and reports for auditing and enquiry purposes.
- Update financial systems and reporting tools (Excel).
- Keep up with ever changing Government Policies and Tariffs on Accounting Standards.
- Continuously explore ways of improved reporting.
Educational Requirements
- Grade 12 with mathematics and accounting is a prerequisite.
- A financial certificate/diploma would be advantageous.
Experience Requirements
- 2-3 Years inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Imports and Export experience.
- Foreign Exchange experience.
Skills and Competencies
- Timeously and Accurate reporting.
- Basic Accounting practices.
- Basic shipping documentation & Incoterms.
- Detailed, well-organised and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
- Computer proficiency in MS office (advanced Excel) and e-mail communication.
- Organised and able to work under pressure and time constraints.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively.
- Advanced Mathematical skills.
- Analytical and problem solving.
- Planning and organizational skills.
- Accounting/Manufacturing software skills.
