Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Capita complies with all local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Support implementation and monitoring of the HSE Management System across all sites.
- Track and report on HSE objectives, KPIs, and compliance metrics.
- Maintain and update the risk register, incident log, and MIS reports.
- Track and close internal and external audit findings (e.g., ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).
- Assist in monitoring and delivering all statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular workplace and contractor audits and inspections.
- Maintain emergency response plans (e.g., evacuation, lockdown).
- Ensure fire extinguishers, alarms, and first aid kits are functional and accessible.
- Coordinate and evaluate regular emergency drills.
- Respond to and document incidents, injuries, and near-misses.
- Assist with investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Organize HSE training sessions (e.g., fire drills, first aid, fire marshals).
- Deliver HSE inductions for new starters.
- Ensure all mandatory health and safety training is completed and recorded.
- Keep Health & Safety notice boards updated with relevant information.
- Promote employee wellness programs and ergonomic best practices.
- Promote sustainable practices and monitor environmental impact.
- Prepare environmental reports and dashboards (e.g., waste reports).
- Manage HSE suppliers (onboarding, ordering, receiving, and key control quality).
- Oversee HSE stock and ensure distribution to all sites.
