About the position Mimecast is seeking an experienced self-starter Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team on a contractual basis, for a 6-month period You will need to have a strong organizational focus with a keen eye for detail in dealing with stakeholders throughout Mimecast to manage the accounts function within the EMEA region In addition, this role is best suited to someone who also has broader accounting knowledge and experience to support end of month reporting Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing of all scheduled and unscheduled accounts payable tasks including, but not limited to supplier invoices and corresponding purchase orders, payment runs, compliance checks.
  • Knowledge of VAT to ensure invoices are processed correctly with local regulations.
  • Ownership of Accounts Payable inbox – manage, review and resolve queries from all stakeholders
  • Liaising with suppliers and reconciling Accounts Payable ledger for invoices and payments
  • Assisting with month end reporting and procedures including expense accruals and prepayments
  • Accounts payable month end tasks, including reconciliations and bank reconciliations
  • Short term cover for auditing expense claims to ensure compliance with policies
  • Other ad-hoc duties as may be required including cover during periods of high-workloads and absences
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable.
  • A degree is not mandatory, however, an understanding of basic bookkeeping, attention to detail, mathematical and accounting skills are required.
  • Organisational and analytical skills along with strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Netsuite and Concur experience preferred but not essential
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
