Job Purpose

Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government has an employment opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to supervise and render supply chain management clerical and procurement client centre services.

Minimum Requirements

Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification); A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.

Key Performance Areas

Supervise and render moveable asset management clerical services; Supervise and render demand and acquisition clerical services; Supervise and undertake logistical support services; Supervise human resources / staff.

Competencies

Knowledge of the following: Supply chain duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics; Legislative framework governing the Public Service; Work procedures in terms of the working environment.

Skills needed: Numeracy; Literacy; Computer Literacy; Written and verbal communication; Leading and supervising; Delivering results and meeting customer expectations; Following instructions and procedures; Working with people; Writing and reporting.

Remuneration

R325 101- 382 959 per annum (Salary level 7)

Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.

Notes

Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to do a practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
