Job Purpose
The Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to assist with the management of the Sub-Directorate Catalytic Economic Infrastructure by supporting the Chief Director, Director and Deputy-Director in strategy development; stakeholder co-ordination and relationship management; conceptualisation and research, pre-project implementation and project management of catalytic infrastructure initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years relevant administrative or project management experience in an economic development environment.
Recommendation
Additional qualifications/certifications in project management; Experience in Project Management and Economic Development; A valid driving licence (Code B or higher). NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Key Performance Areas
Support the strategic processes and decision-making of the Chief Directorate; Project Manage the Directorate’s projects and programmes aligned to overall strategy framework; Co-ordinate stakeholders as relevant to the development and implementation of projects and programmes within the Sub-Directorate and Directorate; Management of the human resources of the Sub-Directorate to achieve the pre-determined performance indicators and service delivery imperatives, motivated, competent, appreciated and performance orientated staff and sound labour relations; Support the planning of the Sub-Directorate’s budget and manage expenditure, through responsible implementation of policies, practices and decisions in order to achieve unit objectives effectively and efficiently.

Remuneration
R 468 459 - R 561 894 per annum (Salary level 9)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
