- The sucessful candidate must have background in Information Security, Group Policy and Standards and as an advantage Information Security Governance, Exceptions, Continuous Compliance, Training and Awareness.
- Good understanding of Information Security Industry standards and bestpractices. E.g. NIST, ISO2700X
- Have Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Decision-making skills.
- Have People and Function management skill
- Stong Document management and administration.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Information Security Policies and standards for group.
- The successful candidate will be dealing with breaches in our policies and standards and understanding why those standards where breached
- Document controls and the process involved
- Facilitation of work groups to develop, review and maintain group policies and standards.
- Participate in decision making around policy and standard requirements.
- Consulting to projects in terms of identifying risks, vulnerabilities and controls.
- To research and assist in the implementation of security controls within the organisation where appropriate.
- Monthly reporting on Standards tracker
- To research and understand security best practices and how they are implemented in a corporate environment
- Maintain current knowledge of the Information Systems security industry’s emerging technologies
- Aligning group standards to industry standards and best practices
- Updating of relevant documents, sending them for review and managing any comments sent back
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure and handle multiple projects at a given time
- Good presentation skills
