Job Advert Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our warehouse team as a Collections Dispatch Clerk. The ideal candidate will play an imperative role in ensuring accurate and timely dispatch of orders to our collection customers, maintaining high standards of efficiency and service. This role will also require the incumbent to actively prioritise order and stock picking as per the standard Syntech procedure.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12).
- Fluent in English (Read & Write).
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Windows, MS Office (Excel, Outlook), and Skype.
- Previous experience in a dispatch role preferred.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other relevant computer programs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work outside of regular responsibilities when necessary.
- Flexibility to work overtime to meet shipment deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Dispatch stock to customers by verifying orders, invoicing stock
- Keep sales team informed by forwarding order status updates and waybill information.
- Assist in resolving incorrect orders that have been dispatched, should the need arise.
- Prepare end-of-day reports as required.
- Handle cash on collected orders, including receiving payments and managing cash floats. (if required)
- Communicate waiting orders to relevant departments to expedite fulfilment.
- Ensure accurate goods dispatch by verifying correct items and quantities.
- Inspect goods for damage and ensure they are in good condition before dispatch.
- Verify payment received before invoicing and dispatching of orders.
- Assist in quarterly stock takes and variance checking.
- Collaborate with warehouse pickers to complete orders efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the collections area.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.
- Discuss challenges and concerns with the line manager proactively. Ensure timely mailing of waybills, batch files, and end-of-day reports.
- Pick customer and branch orders.
