The Accountat role involves drafting and preparing client accounts and statutory accounts for businesses, partnerships and LLPs, including tax computations and Corporation Tax returns. The position requires compiling Profit and Loss accounts, balance sheets, and trial balance accounts, as well as drafting reports on financial statements, client business issues, systems, and controls. The role also includes liaising closely with clients and stakeholders, ensuring that the relevant manager or supervisor is kept informed of developments. Essential skills include proficiency in double-entry accounting and bookkeeping, and experience in preparing statutory and management accounts for UK entities.
The role will be fully office-based for the first three months to support a smooth onboarding process, with the option to transition to a hybrid working arrangement thereafter.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead client accounts’ engagements (planning, directing and completion)
- Supervise juniors
- Research and analyse financial statements
- Produce statutory accounts and draft tax computations
- Monitor the progress of jobs to ensure that budgets are met
- Draft client letters and bills
- Proactively interact with key client's management to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Professional services experience required
- Must have managed a portfolio of clients
- SAIPA/ACCA qualified with a demonstrable track record of accounts experience in an accountancy practice
- Excellent technical knowledge of accounting standards, corporation tax and VAT
- Ability to perform to a high technical and professional standard
- Working knowledge of Caseware, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, Alphatax and CCH
