As an Audit Manager, you will take responsibility for managing and overseeing audit assignments from planning through to completion. You will maintain client relationships, ensuring efficient communication and the timely completion of work. You will review the work completed by your team, prepare and monitor budgets, and ensure all auditing standards and guidelines are adhered to. Alongside this, you will take a proactive role in developing and implementing improved procedures to enhance workflow and team performance.
The role will be fully office-based for the first three months to support a smooth onboarding process, with the option to transition to a hybrid working arrangement thereafter.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritise audit assignments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
- Supervise and review audit work in line with International Standards of Auditing, providing feedback and guidance to team members.
- Prepare budgets, monitor actuals against targets, and investigate any variances.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Address team performance and personnel matters, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Liaise with Managers, Directors, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Qualified Accountant: CA(SA), AGA(SA) or equivalent qualified accountant.
- Audit Practice Experience: Extensive experience in an Audit and Accounts practice, including a deep understanding of regulatory obligations and quality standards.
- Risk Assessment: Experience in identifying and assessing risks, and implementing effective controls.
- Client Management: Strong client relationship management skills, able to build and maintain long-term relationships.
- Leadership: Experience in leading teams, providing mentorship, and managing team dynamics effectively.
- Technical Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting and auditing standards.
- UK Experience: Any experience with UK accounting and auditing standards including FRS102 is desirable.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, analyse data, and propose solutions to ensure efficient workflow and audit processes.
- Software: Experience using iris would be advantageous, although not essential.
