Role Summary
The role holder is a member of the Risk Framework & Functions team within the Group’s Risk Function. As part of this central team, the role holder is responsible for ongoing development and analysis of key risk information, including indicators, incidents and audits, and meticulous scrutiny and oversight of the outputs in comparison to Business Risk Assessment outputs and actions.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Head of Risk Framework, the role would suit a Risk Manager with a good theoretical understanding and practical implementation of a Risk Management Framework, principally risk assessment, key risk indicators, incident management, risk data analysis and actions management.

Role Summary
The role holder is a member of the Risk Framework & Functions team within the Group’s Risk Function. As part of this central team, the role holder is responsible for ongoing development and analysis of key risk information, including indicators, incidents and audits, and meticulous scrutiny and oversight of the outputs in comparison to Business Risk Assessment outputs and actions.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Head of Risk Framework, the role would suit a Risk Manager with a good theoretical understanding and practical implementation of a Risk Management Framework, principally risk assessment, key risk indicators, incident management, risk data analysis and actions management.
Key Responsibilities And Deliverables
- Analysis and use of various sources to inform, and/or challenge, the risk and control environment status at a Group, Functional and local level.
- Validation of key information source accuracy. E.g., quality of incident repository population, design and suitability of key risk indicators and associated thresholds and limits.
- Partnership with Local Risk Management, Risk Reporting & Governance, Head of Functions (Risk), Head of Operations (Risk) and Internal Audit to support proactive risk management, through accurate and timely risk assessments, action management and timely reporting, prompting trigger / updates where required.
- Material support and input into the Group level Risk Assessment, including the formal annual assessment, ongoing monitoring and quarterly Group A&RC reporting.
- Maintenance of the Group’s Risk Assessment process, materials and associated documentation, ensuring the approach remains proportionate and in line with industry best practice, regulatory expectations and internal governance.
- Adapting the risk assessment approach to suit local needs without compromising the overarching RMF principles and minimum standards.
- Preparation and delivery of risk management updates, primarily risk assessment related, to various stakeholders and Committees.
- Drive risk assessment efficiency and quality improvements, with a particular focus on risk assessment and associated management information and data.
- Act as support and cover for Risk Management Framework roles.
- Ad hoc risk management activity as required by the Head of Risk Framework.
- Business continuity framework support, including oversight of Business Impact Assessments and Business Continuity Plans and direct support in BCP testing program.
- 2-3 years’ experience of risk assessment and/or risk management information analytics.
- Good experience of incident management and key risk indicators design and monitoring.
- Strong analytical, written, verbal, presentation and organizational skills, including Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience of RMF design, implementation and maintenance in the financial services sector.
- Experience of risk management in a Fund Administration environment is preferred but not essential.
- A Risk Management qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Delivery focused, balancing the needs of the Risk Function goals with those of a growing, commercially focused business.
- Strong interpersonal, listening and collaboration skills with an ability to interact, manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, managing your own workload and various deliverables, balancing high quality with pace.
- Self-motivated, highly engaged and driven, with a passion for risk management.
- Personal desire to develop self (through qualifications or other means) and the RMF.
