Job Purpose
Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to provide secretarial support services to the Chief Directorate: Asset Management.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) plus an accredited secretarial diploma and/or administrative qualification on the level of NQF level 5 or relevant higher tertiary qualification (a certificate of completion should be provided); A minimum of 3 years experience in rendering a support services to management/ senior management; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Recommendation
Willingness to work irregular hours.
Key Performance Areas
Provide a secretarial support service to the manager; Render administrative support services; Supports the manager with the administration of the manager’s budget; Provide support to the manager regarding meetings; Studies the relevant Public Service and departmental prescripts/policies and other documents and ensure that the application thereof is understood properly.

Knowledge of regulations/policies/prescripts and procedures; Advanced knowledge of relevant software packages; Good interpersonal and decision-making skills; Good verbal and written communication skills; Advanced computer literacy skills; Customer service orientation; Organizing and planning; Able to work effectively in very a dynamic office; Stress tolerance; Able to liaise with diverse people; Attention to detail.
Remuneration
R 325 101 - R 382 959 per annum (Salary level 7)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to complete a practical assessment and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
