Are you a visionary leader passionate about transforming education and empowering communities? Capitec Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head to drive its mission of creating systemic, sustainable impact in South Africa’s education landscape.

In This High-impact Role, You Will

  • Shape and execute the Foundation’s strategic direction.
  • Lead national-scale education programmes that improve educational outcomes.
  • Build powerful partnerships across departments of basic education, school communities, tertiary institutions (of education stakeholders) and the private sector.
  • Ensure governance excellence and operational efficiency.

What You Need to Be Shortlisted

To thrive in this role, you’ll need a rare blend of strategic vision, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of South Africa’s education and development landscape.

Minimum Requirements

  • 8–10 years’ experience in community development, programme leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven success in leading large-scale national programmes.
  • Strong financial, business, and governance acumen.
  • At least 5 years of team leadership experience.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Business Management, Education, Public Policy).

Preferred

  • A postgraduate qualification in Business or related fields.
  • Deep knowledge of the South African public education system, policy, and curriculum (CAPS).
  • Experience working with boards and in dual-accountability roles.
