Job Advert Summary

Reporting to the Group Executive Mutuality, the role will be responsible for the formulation and implementation of PPS marketing and brand strategy with the intent of maximising the relevance of the brand across various platforms both internal and external.

Responsible for effectively leading a team in the design, creation, implementation and evaluation of marketing and brand programmes, including messaging, digital marketing and collateral creation from other parts of the business, ensuring consistency in messaging and alignment with the brand.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Postgraduate degree or equivalent NQF level 7 qualification (in commercial disciplines including marketing/ communications)
  • Master’s in business administration (recommended)

Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Marketing, Communication, or brand management
  • 8 years’ experience in a management role within marketing
  • Knowledge and understanding of marketing management principles and practices.
  • Financial Services experience essential, insurance marketing experience advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to enable the PPS business goals and sales objectives.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to promote the PPS brand and financial services products and services.
  • Use data analysis for insights-led decision-making to drive commercial outcomes and translate business objectives into measurable marketing goals and KPIs.
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills within and outside of the organisation.
  • Cultivate and enhance the company's brand identity, messaging, and positioning in the market.
  • Use experiential marketing to engage members and intermediaries who interact with the brand.
  • Understand the media landscape (traditional, digital and social) and the associated trends
  • Functional knowledge of marketing technology platforms
