  • To provide expertise, advice and support through the implementation of the organisational information management strategy by facilitating the definition, design and implementation of information management processes, business and technical requirements and solutions.
  • Information management encompasses information architecture management, metadata management, master and reference data management, data development management, business intelligence and data warehousing management, content, document and records management, data quality management, data storage and operations management and information security and data privacy management.
You will be responsible for: Records Management (inclusive of Data Privacy and Protection)
  • Overall ownership of Records Management for i&SS
  • Complete and get signoff for RM Taxonomy
  • Complete records registers with each i&SS team and submit
  • All structured records are captured on DataWiki
  • All DIMS captured for PI records
  • Disposition in place with certificates for all Vital records
  • Annual record register reviews completed
  • All parties involved in Records management have defined scorecard KPI’s and have attended records management training
  • Attends Records Management working group meetings as an IT representative
  • Ensure i&SS is compliant with defined group RM policies and procedures
Data Access Management
  • All data products on platform follow the DAM process
  • Public dashboards use AD groups via IAG for access
  • Attends Data Access working group as an IT representative
  • Any sensitive or PI/PCI exposed data has relevant controls
Data Quality
  • Chair the data quality program for i&SS and ensure defined DQ metrics are being tracked
  • Ensure Data Quality controls are defined for all IT datasets on the Data Platform
  • Ensure Data Quality incidents are logged and tracked to resolution
  • Ensure alignment and compliance with group Data Quality policies and standards
  • Identifies and drives remediation for improvement for Data Quality
  • Attends the Data Quality working group as an IT representative
  • Ensure i&SS data principles align to DAMA standards and guidelines
Governance Reporting and IM Maturity
  • Provide input into the FirstRand Information Governance report
  • Ensure FSR defined IM maturity assessments are performed quarterly and maturity initiatives are tracked and communicated to improve maturity
  • Provide input into monthly BI Team Manco reporting pack
  • Work with i&SS compliance and Risk teams to ensure compliance metrics are met and drive non-compliance issues
Data Solutions
  • Co-ordinate requirements for new reporting
  • Produce technical specification documents in conjunction with technical teams to ensure governance gates and solutions are aligned to requirements
  • Work with technical teams to ensure all solutions are tested against requirements
  • Ensure solutions follow SDLC process
  • Ensure all BI team processes are documented on Firstmap and any processes that process PI data have a corresponding DIM record
  • Ensure Incidents are reported for data or dashboard issues
What you will need:
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role
