We are seeking an experienced and charismatic Head of Franchising: Inland. This individual will be responsible to drive growth, ensure consistency in brand standards, support and manage the compliance of franchisees, and implement initiatives to optimise performance within the inland region.


Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Leadership - Develop and implement long-term strategies to support franchise growth and operational success. Lead BA’s to ensure business excellence is maintained at all times.


  • Franchisee relationship management- Build and maintain strong relationships with franchisees, providing them with guidance, support, and making sure they are adhering to the brand standards and expectations.


  • Operational Excellence- Ensure consistent application of operational standards, brand guidelines, and customer service protocols across all locations. Monitor and drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and customer experience. Ability to resolve conflict and guide/coach the business support team to do this in their regions.


  • Growth- Identify and pursue opportunities for growth, including evaluating potential franchisees, overseeing new restaurant openings, and assessing market trends and opportunities.


  • Financial Performance & Analysis- Monitor the financial health of franchisees’ businesses and the restaurants, providing support to improve profitability, and ensuring that all locations meet key financial metrics. Conducting quarterly business reviews with franchisees.


  • Compliance & Brand Standards- Ensure that all franchise locations operate in compliance with legal requirements, brand policies, and operational guidelines. Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.


  • Cross-functional Collaboration- Work closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, L&D and People departments to align franchisee operations with corporate initiatives and resources.


  • Innovation & Growth- Continuously explore new ways to innovate within the franchise model, introducing new technologies or processes that can increase efficiency and enhance the customer experience.


  • Performance Optimisation- identify areas of improvement and provide actionable recommendations to enhance overall business performance. 


Requirements:

  • Experience in leading an operations team for at least 5 years.
  • Experience in running restaurants/franchise stores on a national level.
  • Strong business acumen. Must be able to read and interpret financial statements to spot levers that will improve business results.
  • Natural people person.
  • Strong and articulate communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Build and nurture trust with teams, customers and external suppliers.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills. We do NOT want a chaotic operator/fire fighter who runs from problem to problem.
  • Strong business system and stock management skills.
  • Experience in Labour management and payroll systems.
  • Strong MS office skills especially Excel.
  • Experience with POS like Pilot.
  • Business development experience ideal.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Business Degree advantages
