Job Advert Summary

Eduvos is seeking to appoint Independent Contractors to assist with marking responsibilities across various modules in the Commerce and Law Faculty at our Mbombela campuses, on a part-time contractual basis.

Type of appintment:

Independent Contractor agreement

Remuneration & Training:

  • Payment is based on the number of scripts marked, according to a sliding scale based on module level (Level 1, 2, or 3).
  • Training will be provided to ensure consistency and adherence to marking standards.


Minimum Requirements

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Relevant Masters qualification in the field of Commerce and / or Law.
  • Relevant subject knowledge in Commerce and Law.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure fair and consistent assessment.
  • Computer literacy (essential for online marking and administrative tasks).
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines (non-negotiable).
  • Team player mindset with good communication skills.
  • Hybrid work agreement will be dependent on subject allocations - external markers may be required to collect / mark paper-based assessments at the allocated Eduvos campus

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marking paper-based assessments, to be collected and returned to the designated campus.
  • Marking online scripts via the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Accurately recording and submitting marks on the LMS.

Geographically Restricted Modules (Paper-Based or Online Marking):

The following modules require markers to be in close proximity to the campus as scripts must be collected and returned:

  • Introduction to Marketing (COMGA0)
  • Business Law (LWBLA1)
  • Labour Law (LWLBA1)

Online Marking Modules (Not Geographically Restricted):

The following modules can be marked online via the Learning Management System:

  • Taxation (COXTA3)
  • Financial Management (COMFA3)

Remuneration & Training:
