We’re hiring dynamic bilingual professionals to teach English online to international students. You’ll use your language skills to guide learners through engaging lessons, helping them gain confidence and fluency in English.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality English lessons to international students using a communicative and student-centred approach.

• Adapt teaching style to accommodate French or Portuguese first-language speakers.

• Provide clear explanations and effective error correction to support language development.

• Create a positive and encouraging virtual learning environment.

• Use provided teaching materials and digital platforms efficiently.

• Offer constructive feedback and support student progress with professionalism and care.

• Maintain punctuality and adhere to scheduled lesson times.

• Communicate proactively with support teams regarding student issues or tech concerns.

• Participate in initial and ongoing training, performance reviews, and coaching.

• Uphold our standards of professionalism, conduct, and commitment to student success.

Minimum Requirements

Ideal Teacher Profile

• Fluent in English and either French or Portuguese  
• Holds a National Senior Certificate (Matric) or an NQF Level 4 equivalent  
• Possesses a 120-hour TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certificate (or is currently pursuing one)  
• Communicates professionally, with excellent time management skills  
• Understands online teaching etiquette and body language  
• Empathetic, particularly with beginner students  
• Adaptable and quick to respond to different situations  
• Capable of personalizing materials while following a structured curriculum  
• Speaks with a clear, neutral accent and demonstrates strong communication skills  
• Utilizes a professional and patient teaching style  
• Tech-savvy, with the ability to troubleshoot and effectively use Zoom and its annotation functions
