Project:
The client is looking for a Solar Inverter Consultant (Trainer & Field Support) in Ivory Coast to provide robust technical training, awareness and commercial support to its partners and end users to ensure successful installation and usage of its current inverter product lines.
The consultant will be responsible for delivering technical training in French, supporting distributor sales, and acting as a liaison between the client’s R&D teams and local customers. They will also serve as a technical bridge between the client’s India-based product team and the Francophone African customer base, ensuring effective communication of product capabilities. The core objective is to enhance product understanding and drive commercial uptake across key Francophone African markets.
Role and Responsibilities
Role: Solar Inverter Consultant (Trainer & Field Support) – Ivory Coast

Key Deliverables:
- Act as a technical bridge between the clients India-based product team and local customer base
- Provide hands-on technical training on solar inverter and battery storage products to electricians and installers in both seminar and individual settings
- Conduct commercial support activities with distributors to help move current product inventory
- Offer technical demonstrations and support sessions on proper installation, wiring, and commissioning
- Provide field-based support to customers
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in solar energy installations, ideally with a focus on inverter systems and battery storage (especially lithium-based), along with a strong commercial mindset and ability to align technical work with business goals.
- Strong background in electrical engineering or equivalent field experience as an electrician, technician, or EPC specialist
- Demonstrated expertise in solar panel wiring, inverter installation, and commissioning
- Prior experience delivering technical training or support in a commercial context is preferred
- Deep knowledge of solar inverters, battery storage systems, and wiring practices
- Ability to diagnose and explain system issues and support installation procedures in the field
- Strong focus on safety protocols and procedures, with the ability to effectively train others on safe installation, operation, and maintenance of solar inverter and battery systems.
- Comfort working with R&D and product development teams to align on technical accuracy
- Strong communication and training delivery skills in French
- Comfortable working independently in field settings and navigating diverse stakeholder environments
- Highly proactive and hands-on approach
Location: Ivory Coast (Abidjan)
Travel Arrangement: In-person work across the specific country
Terms of agreement:
Required start date : ASAP
Contracting period : ~4 months - Estimated commitment of two weeks per month across a six-month period
