We’re hiring an EHS Operations Consultant

As an EHS Operations Consultant you will be responsible for the implementation of EHS processes and performance within aligned sites to ensure business and corporate EHS requirements are met. Provides coordination with aligned site EHS personnel/Focal Points and site leadership for the effective implementation of EHS systems. This role is primarily focused on the implementing and supporting successful EHS work process usage as well as behavioral alignment with EHS requirements.
1. Support the GSO sites/facilities in the assigned consultant’s network of sites (Safety Community) to ensure that the unique needs of the community are understood, and they are incorporated into the Corteva GSO EHS Program.
2.Provide guidance to ensure a safe, secure and compliant workplace across aligned sites within the Safety Community, delivering outstanding EHS performance and sustaining the License to Operate.
3.Work in close partnership with site/facility leadership and site personnel within aligned sites to ensure all plans and resources are in place for proper implementation and sustainability of EHS work processes. Connect the site to broader EHS&S resources, as needed, to advance the site’s EHS programs and culture.
4.Provide for appropriate and consistent implementation and maintenance of EHS work processes, best practices and most effective technologies; coordinate and align priorities and initiatives; audit the effectiveness of processes and implementation across aligned sites.
5.Partner with EHS Operations Leadership, EHS&S Resources, peers and Site EHS Focal Points to drive on-going improvement and effectiveness of the Corteva EHS programs through increasing skills and competencies and diverse experiences.
6.Using your area(s) of EHS expertise, leverage that knowledge across all Communities and the GSO EHS organization to problem solve including driving projects that advance our programs and culture.

Your Challenge:
- Work with and through the Site EHS resources, in conjunction with Site leadership, for effective implementation of the Corteva EHS work processes, standards and policies. Conduct thorough training and provide clear communication with the Site EHS resources implementation of sustainable EHS work processes, standards, and policies. Identify gaps and work with Site EHS and Leadership to execute gap closure.
- Focus on mitigating injuries and adherence to internal and external requirements for compliance, ensuring our license to operate. This will be accomplished through regular site visits and ensuring assessments are completed on a regular basis to measure conformance to requirements.
- Regularly meet with the EHS EMEA Regional Leader, Site EHS and Site Leaders to ensure alignment to requirements, initiatives and or areas of opportunity.
- Ensure Compliance Tasks are completed on a regular basis to support adherence to internal and external requirements within aligned sites and support/facilitate completion.
- Partner with Regional Production Director to facilitate monthly Safety Community meetings.
To Grow What Matters, You Will Need
- A technical degree in engineering/ physical science/, occupational safety/ industrial hygiene/or related field preferred - but work experience will be considered in lieu of secondary education.
- 5 plus years’ experience in production/manufacturing operations required.
- Experience within an agricultural setting is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in Occupational Health and Safety as well as environmental regulations is preferred.
