About The Role
The purpose of this role is to fully own the Corporate Accounts Payable
function. Establish and manage efficient, effective, and seamless accounts
payable (AP) processes that support the broader business.
Allowing other departments to focus on their core operations by positioning this function as a Centre of excellence for AP and invoice processing.
The AP Manager must be a strong leader and lead a team of AP controllers
both locally and offshore where applicable and to drive the process-oriented functions within these teams.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Control
- Oversee monthly reconciliations for external/internal creditors, Procards, Wex, and vendors.
- Manage cash flow and supplier payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Lead the month-end close process and support statutory audits.
- Drive standardisation of AP and invoicing procedures.
- Manage vendor creation, billback processes, and exception handling.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and risk mitigation.
- Champion technology and process improvements to enhance invoice accuracy and volume.
- Collaborate with front-end teams to streamline workflows.
- Support system changes and act as a systems champion for AP tools.
- Lead and develop a team of AP controllers (onshore and offshore).
- Conduct regular team meetings, 1-on-1s, and performance reviews.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely resolution of queries and adherence to SLAs.
- Escalate non-compliance issues to senior management when necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a creditors or accounting department.
- Proven leadership experience and advanced system proficiency.
- Experience in the travel management industry.
- Industry certifications in finance or accounting.
- Advanced team management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and process orientation.
- Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
- High adaptability, resilience, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
