Job Advert Summary
Spoor & Fisher is looking for a Trade Mark Administrator within the TM: Anti-Counterfeiting (Africa) department. The successful candidate will be based in the Centurion office, reporting to the Partner. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail and should be able to attend to general administrative duties with a focus on Trade Mark litigation.
Minimum Requirements
- Proficient in MS Word.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- Litigation experience.
- Dictaphone experience.
- A good command of the English language.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Quick turnaround times - swift and efficient.
- Responsible.
- Accuracy.
- Organised.
- Confident and coherent
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attending to dictation for the department.
- Assisting with and preparing litigation documents, such as letters of demand, undertakings, and settlement agreements, including Letter of Authorities.
- Attending to correspondence with clients and assisting with e-mails received.
- Attending to drafting summons and particulars of claim.
- Assisting with applications for default judgment.
- Assisting the client with queries.
- Attending to the diary.
- Capturing time and attending to billing duties.
- Scheduling Department monthly meetings.
- Assisting with departmental typing.
- Drafting affidavits.
- Administration of matters from the inception until finalisation.
- Preparing draft responses to enforcement inspectors across Africa and attending to administrative responsibilities associated with the matters.
- Assisting with invoice queries and collating invoices for month-end submission.
- Providing office support for the department and professional staff when needed and supporting team members with tasks.
