ATTORNEY – COMMERCIAL & LITIGATION: KNYSNA

Our client seeks an experienced Commercial and Litigation Attorney, specializing in resolving legal disputes that arise within the business world.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Dispute Resolution: concerning breach of contract, debt recovery, shareholder disputes, property disputes, insolvency matters, etc.
• Legal Advice: to their clients including legal rights and obligations in commercial matters.
• Court Representation: preparing legal arguments, presenting evidence in court, and arguing cases.
• Alternative Dispute Resolution: through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration.
• Contract Review and Drafting Contracts: drafting contracts to ensure they are legally sound and protect the client's interests.
• Intellectual Property Protection: handling disputes related to trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
• Corporate Law: assisting businesses mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and shareholder disputes.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Efficient and effective

Qualifications: LLB

10 – 15 years of previous experience in commercial and litigation matters.

Presentable in appearance

Good multi-tasking skills

Excellent people skills

Good communication in both English and Afrikaans

Computer packages used: AJS and MS Word.

Driver’s licence with own vehicle.

Availability over weekends should client require this.
