As a junior software engineer, you will work closely with experienced team members to learn and contribute to developing robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions on the .NET (C#) framework. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and be part of a dynamic team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Engineering

  • Assist in building, maintaining, and deploying software according to company’s software engineering standards.
  • Write and run unit-tests to ensure software quality.
  • Support the maintenance of existing systems and contribute to the development of new features using modern technologies.
  • Collaborate other software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software issues as part of the support team.

Documentation

  • Help document software components, processes, and workflows for team reference.

Essential Skills You’ll Bring To The Table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • 1 to 2 years’ practical experience in software development of a relevant internship.
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, with a preference for experience in C# and the .NET framework.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Exposure to relational databases (e.g. SQL Server) and writing queries.
  • Awareness of Software Testing fundamentals.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities.

Desirable Skills You’ve Got Up Your Sleeve

It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:

  • Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g. Docker).
  • Awareness of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing unit/integration tests.
  • Experience as part of an Agile software engineering team.
  • A good understanding or security principles,
  • Some knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, Vue and React).
  • Computer Science related degree, diploma, or similar qualification in software engineering.
