Job Advert Summary

The primary objective of this role is to minimize financial losses to the company by effectively managing the recovery of assets, specifically through vehicle repossessions and related processes. This position involves maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of warrants, investigations, and the status and financial exposure of each warrant. The role requires close coordination with external partners such as Sheriffs, storage facilities, and suppliers, ensuring all repossessed vehicles are properly documented, safely stored, and processed in accordance with internal protocols and legal requirements. Strong relationship management is essential, as the incumbent must maintain productive communication with Sheriffs and negotiate with service providers, such as panel beaters, to secure cost-effective solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keep record of warrants on hand
  • Keep record of work done on investigation diary
  • Keep record of warrant status’ and exposure
  • Record all interactions between Sheriffs
  • Maintain good relationships with Sheriffs and suppliers
  • Use all internal systems/resources to assist with repossessions
  • Submit repo inspections on Quantamax
  • Ensure all repossessed vehicles are safely stored at storage facilities
  • Hand in affidavits/statements on accounts when necessary
  • Negotiate for a better pricing with panel beaters, when repossessed vehicles are found
  • Communicate between loss adjusters
