This role will be responsible for timeous payroll administration and processing of inputs and deductions to ensure payments to Phadimas and third parties are accurate.
We're a fully in-office team. This role is based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.

Key responsibilities:
- Payroll Input
- Receive payroll input via app
- HR Validate & Final Recruit new employees on-boarded via the onboarding app
- Verify new employees’ information and position details before payroll calculation
- Validate movements app information accurately on the system for promotions, transfers and terminations
- Import overtime captured on time app into payroll and capture exceptions manually
- Check payroll regularly for errors and anomalies and correct where necessary
- Update employee records with changes to personal details and bank details
- Provide telephonic support in respect of payroll queries
- Understanding and following payroll procedures and payroll related forms
- Assisting with communication and processing of workers compensation claims
- Basic employee benefit administration and processing i.e. withdrawls and contributions.
- Payroll Administration
- Processing Department of Labour forms (UI19, UI2.7 and salary schedule) for terminations and employees going on maternity leave.
- Medical aid reconciliations for assigned payroll
- Process staff card applications
- Maintain A.Health adjustments list
- Create employee files for new engagements
- Payroll administration is actioned on movements and onboarding app
- Payroll Scorecard – Receive a payroll score card score of 75% or higher:
- Queries resolved within 48hrs
- Feedback to customer within 24hrs
- Error free payroll administration
- Overall customer satisfaction 85%.
Essential:
- A Grade 12 Certificate/Matric
- Payroll Certificate/ Diploma
Essential:
- 2-3 years payroll administration experience
- Large payroll experience (On average 1500 Phadimas per Payroll administrator, +/- 60 terms per month, +/- 30 promotions per month)
- Experience working on Payspace.
- Basic employee benefit administration and processes i.e. withdrawls and contributions.
- Intermediate payroll knowledge.
- Knowledge of labour legislation and tax.
- Knowledge of full payroll function, including capturing payroll, checking remuneration, reconciling the payroll, backups/ rollover, manual calculations.
- Computer skills, intermediate to advanced Excel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to question information.
- Above average numerical ability.

- The ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
