IT Infrastructure and Security Manager

As a leader in our industry, we are seeking a high performance driven individual to manage our Cybersecurity and Infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive the protection of our assets, manage our digital infrastructure, and lead our cybersecurity initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-Day Operations: Develop and implement strategies to assess and mitigate risks while overseeing crisis management initiatives.
• Security Oversight: Establish and maintain security processes, policies, and risk reduction methods across informational, physical, and financial realms.
• Compliance Management: Ensure company adherence to local, national, and global regulations, particularly in privacy-related areas, collaborating with legal and compliance teams as necessary.
• Innovation and Procurement: Research and implement cutting-edge security solutions and head the procurement of all infrastructure, including hardware, software, and security services.
• Cyber Awareness Training: Lead enterprise-wide cyber awareness training and continuous testing to enhance knowledge and application.
• Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain a robust incident-based knowledge management system to fortify the security framework and drive internal training.
• Third-Party Service Provider Management: Oversee the SLA of third-party service providers, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
• Infrastructure Management: Analyze, plan, and manage the digital infrastructure across all African operating entities, aligning with best security practices.

Requirements:

• Education: Matric qualification required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology advantageous
• Certifications: System Administration, Cloud Certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Cloud Architect) strongly preferred. Information Security certifications (CISSP-ISSAP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, GIAC, or equivalent) highly desirable.
• Experience: 5-7 years of network administration or system administration experience, with a security focus. Proven track record in IT strategy and plan development.
• Technical Skills: System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network-related fields are a plus. Proficiency in virtualization (VMWare), scripting, automation tools, and strong VPN experience required.
• Cloud Expertise: Strong knowledge of AWS, networking security (e.g., VPCs), and cloud exposure.
• Networking and Security: Expertise in systems, networking software, hardware, networking protocols, and implementing helpdesk and IT operations best practices.
