The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and versatile individual to join our Cape Town team in a dual-capacity role as People Partner & Office Manager. This position combines office and facilities management with core People Operations responsibilities. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office while supporting our growing South African team across various HR functions. This role offers a clear development pathway into a broader People Operations career.

Key Responsibilities:

Office Management & Facilities

  • Oversee daily office operations, including administration, facilities, and vendor coordination.
  • Maintain and implement office policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage office supplies and inventory, ensuring timely procurement and stock levels. Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for staff and senior leadership.
  • Handle office expenses and invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budget.
  • Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing timely support and information.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and resolve operational issues.

People Operations

  • Facilitate onboarding for new hires, ensuring a seamless integration experience.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Support performance management processes, including review cycles and feedback coordination.
  • Assist with the administration of employee rewards and benefits programmes.
  • Liaise with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Champion a positive workplace culture through engagement initiatives and events.

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma or certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an office management or HR support role, ideally within a fast-paced, people-centric environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting HR functions such as onboarding, benefits administration, or employee engagement.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), with experience using HRIS or payroll systems considered a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
