Minimum Requirements

  • Matric
  • Be in possession of a suitable HR Degree / Diploma (must have advanced knowledge of HR related legislation and HR best practices);
  • Solid experience in labour dispute resolution including CCMA;
  • 5 Years relevant HR generalist experience,
  • Experience in a services, retail industry or labour intensive environment;
  • Leadership and management experience, with particular emphasis in dealing with diverse teams;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systemsExcellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.Own reliable vehicle

Duties & Responsibilities

  • HR Strategy:
  • Support the strategic direction in the execution of the HR functions
  • Reporting and data management
  • Analyse employee relations trends and provide data-driven reports and recommendations for improving workplace engagement.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Serve as the support point of contact for employee relations matters, including workplace disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Conduct investigations into workplace misconduct and recommend appropriate disciplinary actions.
  • Industrial relations:
  • Provide expert guidance on South African labor laws, including the Labour Relations Act (LRA), Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Employment Equity Act (EEA), and other relevant regulations.
  • Support line management and Employer’s Organisation to prepare documentation and evidence for arbitration and disciplinary hearings.
  • Representation at CCMA/BCCCI/NBCPSS.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trade unions, shop stewards, and employee representatives.
  • Company Policies and Procedures:
  • Ensuring all Company policies and procedures are adhered to; and ensuring management is up to date with changes and new policies.
  • Training and Development:
  • Train managers and employees on industrial relations best practices, company policies, and labour laws.
