We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll support the development and operations teams by helping to build, maintain, and optimize our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in cloud technologies, automation, and DevOps best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.
  • Support the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Help manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Monitor system performance and availability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
  • Write scripts and use automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Python) to streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with developers and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments and reliable services.
  • Participate in incident response and troubleshooting of infrastructure or application issues.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of systems and processes.
  • Stay current with emerging DevOps tools and practices.
  • Assist in infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Support system upgrades, patching, and version control of infrastructure components.
  • Help implement security best practices, including access control and vulnerability monitoring.
  • Use monitoring tools to analyze system logs and metrics for performance tuning.
  • Support testing environments and ensure consistency across development, staging, and production.
  • Engage in team knowledge sharing and contribute to internal DevOps documentation and runbooks.

Essential Skills You’ll Bring To The Table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • Basic understanding of Linux/Unix systems and command-line tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and basic Kubernetes concepts.
  • Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or similar.
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Awareness of monitoring and logging tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and team collaboration abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills You’ve Got Up Your Sleeve

It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:

  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry
  • Knowledge of database management systems NoSQL, backup strategies, and scaling database clusters.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Exposure to Rancher or other Kubernetes management platforms.
  • Experience with Cloudflare managing CDN, DNS, security features like DDoS protection and WAF, bot management, rate limiting, and Zero Trust access solutions.
