- Who we’re looking for: A Lead Software Engineer with strong experience in building and maintaining RESTful APIs and a passion for mentoring other Engineers

Day to day this role will
- Lead the design and build of new features
- Build new projects
- Perform updates to our projects
- Optimise web applications for performance, accessibility, and usability
- Integrate to third-party services and APIs
- Support the Platform team - monitoring and maintaining test and production environments, and driving processes
- Maintain the high standards of our codebase
- Mentor other team members
- Significant experience writing performant and clean code to modern PHP 8 standards
- Experience developing with the Laravel framework
- Experience with Vue & Nuxt
- Excellent communication skills
- A proven ability to mentor and develop other Engineers
- Experience using version control such as git and Bitbucket/GitHub/Gitlab
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of testing principles
- AWS services
- DevOps
- DataDog
- Designing efficient SQL queries and schemas
- Test-Driven Development
- Working with high performance systems at scale
- Working with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Leveraging benefits of using AI, whilst being aware of potential pitfalls
