Role Overview

We’re looking for a proactive and creative Mid-Level Marketing Specialist to join our team. You’ll be responsible for driving both brand visibility and product marketing efforts, with a key focus on supporting sales and revenue growth through compelling campaigns and activations across our partner ecosystem.

You will be comfortable wearing many hats — from campaign strategy and design execution to managing your own production timelines and collaborating with stakeholders across product and commercial teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Brand & Product Marketing:
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new products and VAS offerings.
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging across all platforms and materials.
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to translate technical features into clear customer benefits.
  • Campaigns & Activations:
  • Design and manage B2B and channel-focused marketing campaigns to drive partner engagement and end-user adoption.
  • Plan and execute on-the-ground activations and client-facing events in collaboration with Sales and Growth Managers.
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize in real time to meet KPIs.
  • Content & Design:
  • Create engaging marketing assets using Canva (digital and print-ready).
  • Draft campaign copy, product messaging, and partner communications as needed.
  • Project & Traffic Management:
  • Be your own traffic manager — maintain campaign calendars, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Liaise with external vendors, printers, or freelancers as required.
  • Team Support:
  • Work closely with the CCO to align brand strategies with business goals.
  • Provide marketing support to Product Growth Managers on product rollouts, training, and market insights.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Assisting with gathering and analyzing data on consumer trends, competitor activity, and market insights.
  • Administrative Support: Providing general administrative tasks such as managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on marketing data to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with other teams, such as sales, customer service, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication.


Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in a marketing role, ideally in a fintech, telco, or B2B environment.
  • Solid understanding of product and brand marketing principles.
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills — able to manage multiple campaigns independently.
  • Proficiency in Canva and basic design sensibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to Johannesburg for events, activations, or team meetings (as needed).
  • Based in Cape Town, with a hybrid model (4 days in office and 1 day remote) and collaborative working style.


Bonus Points

  • Experience working with channel partners or reseller ecosystems.
  • Exposure to bill payments, mobile money, or other fintech products.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, marketing automation, or basic analytics platforms.
